After his childhood. After King Piccolo. After Raditz, Nappa, and Vegeta. After Freiza. After the androids. After Cell. After Buu. After ten thousand years of training in the Other World, Goku was granted reincarnation as a 17-year old boy, back in the universe where the Z-Warriors once laid claim. Promised he would be given a body that could be "filled out" to be stronger than the one fate garnered in his last life, it was a hard bargain to pass by, and one the universe doesn't offer often. Goku, a man whose benevolent karma springs eternal, seems to have those in charge of the universe on his side--he is the epitome of happy-go-lucky, if there ever was one. However, being used to his old body, Goku has had trouble adjusting to his reincarnation...
Rather than being born on Vegeta, like before, Goku finds that his origins lie on planet Earth--his spiritual homeland. Over ten thousand years, you think things would change more. And they do change, but some things stay for all time. However, an old soul in a new body, Goku doesn't quite remember his past lives, occasionally becoming overwhelmed with sensations of deja vu when he picks up on references or hints to who he was before, upon hearing references of loved ones unremembered, as if only needing a small shove to fall back into his last shell of being, who he was before; yet his true-blue nature stays the same, like a constant that can't be factored. This [teen] is the anomaly of all Saiyans, desiring power but not conquest, a pacifist among ogres.
(Having archaic, irrefutable, and biological ties to the distant planet Vegeta, he unknowingly feels a calling towards that grain of sand in the cosmos, when at the mercy of fates calling...something ancient and knowing within his subconscious pulls him towards his biological world.)
Laughing like a little boy, Goku runs through the field outside of Korin's Tower, chasing his tail, running so quickly that he is literally "racing" virtually holographic images of himself. The wind rustles the tall blades of grass as he dashes in and out of the clearing. Jumping up in the air and attempting to catch fleeting images of himself, like how a child might play with his or her brother or sister in a game of tag, the seventeen-year-old is still pure and a child at heart--The virtually immortal guardians of Earth, Korin, Mr. Popo, and the elderly, sage-like Namekian, Dende, were assigned (by those in charge of Goku's reincarnation in the Other World) to keep an eye ought for the boy as he got older. The Hyperbolic Time Chamber, in tandem with the Room of Spirit and Mind, is the perfect place for a former soul like Goku to get readjusted to subletting a new, corporeal form...
To be continued.
